why rock the boat and make waves

i think Adele looks beautiful even though she's not exactly the conventional size of beauty. she manages to carry her weight really well with her own style. awesome.

doing Disgrace essays frustrates me to no end. i still have 2 more essays to contend with but i told myself that i need to start logging my life so when i read these in future i would know how i wasted my youth away.

can't seem to remember what i did exactly during the week, only the vague details.

1. PUSH with mates and it was still awesome. there's something about the old shophouses in HongKong that makes the setting really comfortable. now i'm obsessed with the chinese-rustic look. i am a nerd, but i want to write something about it. can't explain how but it gives off a romantic vibe.
2. halfway through Through the Looking Glass - sequel to Alice in Wonderland. Carroll's absurd style makes it a whole lot less mundane but it's pretty hard to catch on with all the chaos.
3. Tanpopo with other mates and it was good. might visit it again soon. Liang Court's Kino is absolutely great and i got this fascinating book for only 10 bucks off the bargain section. already siad it in the previous post but whatever.
4. apparently the 70% off for newlook only lasted for a day so my return trip there with mich was a failure. we still had swensens though, which wasn't that bad after all.

i think that's about it? addicted to these jams right now:

Bodysnatchers (Radiohead), Creep (Radiohead), Undertow (Timbaland feat. The Fray & Esthero), Barbra Streisand (Duck Sauce), My Medicine (The Pretty Reckless), Big Jet Plane (Angus & Julia Stone) and the entire McFly album cos' it's so, so good.

most of the songs are ancient luh so it's more like a rekindling addiction.

the week is going to be hectic, what with all the essays we have to write nowadays (especially for lit). i know it's good and i like lit but still. okay now i gotta return to my sad life of essay writing so i leave you with a song to headbang to:

p.s, i sometimes wonder how different life would be if i were in another jc, or in a poly course studying architecture or some media related/writing course. but then again i would also question how different life would be if i weren't in those scenarios.
