as i move my feet towards your body

THIS WAS WEDNESDAY:

and it was one hell of a day.

(details after page-break)

woke up at 8 to meet Hilarie at 9.30 in the morning (can you believe our commitment) and later on Sarah to make these:

just to clear things up, we did not buy them from some gourmet place. we made them from scratch. and to add on to our awesomeness we used totally halal products so everyone could eat it without compromising on taste (though i still perceive non-halal food to taste better luh). it was really really good. really. most-valued-food; baked potatoes with salami, mushrooms topped with generous mozzarella and shepard's pie filled with asparagus, more mushrooms, corn and minced chicken.

and everyone else brought lots of food! we had two different pastas (both of which were amazing), two different types of sausages and truckloads of fruit. like truckloads; a whole watermelon, pears, freaking tasty frozen grapes, cherries and mandarin oranges.

we also had farisha's famous brownies, which this time, was made from scratch. no pictures, sadly. even the drinks were home-made; tulika's mom's very very good tea and and kau's dad's fruit juice concoction of mango juice and soda water with chunks of pomelo and mango. how is this not heaven.

---

anyway, everyone gathered and the month's greatest storm just had to take place today. it was really really bad. imagine a group of people pelted by rain beneath a gazebo while continuing to eat as rain intercepts their food and plates and clothes and hair and everything plus lightning that literally struck the gazebo's tip before splitting around the whole shelter so close to us that you could be struck standing at its edge. yeah, it was that bad of a storm. but it was still thoroughly fun and we must have entertained the strangers trapped with us with our (the girls) screams and offering of food.

PHOTOS:

just some of the awesome ones that day. more on facebook!

it was so much fun. but 'fun' is an understatement. and all the photos were taken with kau's dad's camera, which by the way, is the best camera i have ever laid my hands on.
p.s, my outfit was amazing, no?

and it's time to get down to business. no more whiling away my time on the internet. have to focus everything on my books. i don't wanna be nonchalant (or worse disappointed) when my trembling, sweaty palms receive my results next year. i want to be overjoyed. i want to know that these two years were worth the toil and suffering i've been through, worth putting my social life on hold (though this post is pretty ironic) and worth the reminiscing 5 years from now when i'm in a stage of my life doing what i love and what i want -- basically living instead of living.
