peaceful chaos

this picture is totally unrelated to what this post is about but there's something about it that makes it emotional and even a little sensual.

K ANYWAY THIS IS ABOUT MY WEEK. PAGEBREAK:
just a quick one before i hit the books (ugh):

on Tuesday i went shopping with Michelle and i think it's perhaps the first and only time i spent so much. i got a:

Zara blazer which took me approximately 2 hours of pondering (and walking around) plus an additional 30 mins in the store deciding whether to get it or not. ... i got it and it was the most expensive piece of the day but it looked so good! and it was the first time i was getting a blazer. plus, zelia (who i almost always turn to when i buy or am going to buy clothes) said it was a good buy cos' Zara has awesome blazers. that made me feel better.

fourskin white shirt and light blue jeans and a kingdom key necklace which took me pretty quick since the white shirt was on 50% off, the jeans costing less than 65 (when they usually cost around 70 and above). the kingdom key necklace was an almost instantaneous decision, seeing how seriously, it's the best game in the world and that it was also on 50% off.

cotton on striped y-neck, which was only 10 dollars. i mean, okay luh, if this was australia's outlet store it'd probably be 5 bucks? but this is singapore and i thought it was pretty worth it. plus, i've been thinking of trying new styles and maybe a y-neck's what i need, seeing how i only have v-necks and singlets and sometimes (very rarely) crew necks, which even then, is lower than an average crew cos' they make me feel strangled and uncomfortable.

and that's pretty much it. amounted to 259.35 (including food), with a large portion of it being the blazer (that i won't reveal it's price cos' it makes me cringe).

STILL INTENDING TO GET but only if they're cheap:

a beaded necklace. if tel and jo can't find it in malaysia then i think i might make one myself using an abacus, which can be pretty costly (3 bucks or more?) so i'll only do that if they really can't find one. seriously, all the beaded necklaces here are circular when i want diamond or abacus-bead-shaped so it doesn't look buddhist-like.

more shirts. because the only reason why i didn't get more is that the shirts here (singapore) are mostly polyester blends and are extremely uncomfortable and stifling compared to the really, really awesome shirt i got from australia's industrie that was 100% cotton and thus, comfy and soft and can be wrinkled nicely and easily.

shoes. cos' i keep wearing the same boat shoes or red converse.

on Thursday we celebrated joanna's birthday:

we three met up earlier to do her present, which i thought was a pretty big feat seeing how i had to wake up at 8 in order to be there (wisma's starbucks) by 10.
*that wand took me 2 hours to paint cos' the wood was really bad quality so it needed 5 coats.

then we met her and had this. it was okay i guess. but it was healthy so i loved it.

had tea and cake elsewhere, took neoprints which i don't have a picture of because i don't have a scanner and my phone's camera is shit. the neoprints were awesome though.

and that's the birthday girl (the one with the white sweater).

---

that's pretty much about it. OKAY BYE. oh, on a totally unrelated news, i invested in a moleskin and decided to write in there instead of type cos' writing actually forces you to consider if what you're going to pen down (in ink, permanently) is valuable to the entire prose/whatever it is. so yeah. this will be an outlet of frivolity and such. you know, the less serious stuff. not that i ever write anything serious.
